Sellers Beware: Monitor Tax Law Changes

From the UT San Diego: If you're planning to sell a business this year, it makes sense to pay attention to tax rules that could affect the deal.

But you'll have to stay tuned. It's way too early to know how the IRS tax code will change in 2012, said Dorothy McLin, a certified public accountant based in San Diego. She spoke Tuesday at a lunchtime seminar on federal tax rules attended by around a dozen business and finance professionals. The event was held in the office of Sheppard Mullin as part of a speaker series organized by the ACG (Association for Corporate Growth) San Diego.
